Take apart the original air‑vent unit. Carefully remove all small metal / plastic retaining clips from the stock vent housing. Fit these original clips onto the new replacement mold included with your ambient‑light kit.
Why this matters: Reusing OEM clips guarantees tight, flush fitment when reinstalling back to the dashboard. Without original clips, the vent will rattle or sit loose.
Step 3: Assemble air‑vent onto the new mold
Mount the original air‑vent grille onto our modified mold housing. Double‑check every clip clicks securely into position. Set this complete assembly aside; you will fit it back into the dashboard at the final reassembly stage.
Step 4: Remove saddle and dashboard trim
Take off the factory saddle lever. Use your pry tool to lift up the dashboard saddle trim, starting from the rear section. This opens access to the internal wiring cavity underneath the console. Work slowly to avoid cracking the plastic trim surface
Step 5: Remove door trim panels
Some fixing screws are hidden behind the indicator trim section on each door panel. First remove the small decorative trim cover, then undo the hidden screws. After screws are released, carefully unclip and take off the full door interior panel.
Step 6: Install door ambient light strips
Slide each door light strip directly into the dedicated mounting channel built inside the door trim.
Caution: Do not bend the light strip at sharp angles. Excessive bending will cause dim, uneven or partial lighting failure.

Step 7: Drill holes for door‑handle LED lights
Mark your drilling position on the door trim for the inner‑handle light module. Double‑check position measurement before you drill. Drill the opening and fit the handle LED light into place.
Step 8: Drill holes for door storage‑box LED lights
Repeat the marking‑and‑drilling procedure for the door storage‑box light location. Fit the storage‑box LED module once the hole is completed.
Step 9: Terminate wires into OEM door connector pins
Disassemble the factory multi‑pin connector on the door harness. Insert the pre‑crimped wire pins from our harness into the empty unused slots inside the original vehicle connector. Push each pin fully home until it locks. Reassemble and close the connector housing completely. Poor pin seating causes intermittent lighting faults.
Step 10: Run dedicated 12V power wire to cigarette‑lighter
Important fact: There is no usable 12‑volt power supply located inside the door panel. Run a separate power cable from your door‑lighting harness all the way to the vehicle cigarette‑lighter power circuit. Secure the cable with cable ties. Route wiring away from moving parts and sharp edges to prevent pinching, abrasion or short circuits.
Step 11: Complete power and ground wiring inside center console
Make your main power connections within the open center‑console cavity: 🟢 Green wire = positive power supply 🟤 Brown wire = ground / negative connection
